"He want a bad bitch, well I want a nigga with some money and a long dick." This phrase is very much a summary of Megan The Stallion's debut album, “Good News.” 17 songs, which act as a chronicle of Megan detailing her everyday sexcapades and nonchalant freaky meetings. Filled with a multitude of high profile features, this album is a great way to kick off the end of 2020.

Before this review begins, I will say this, If Pusha-T can make his entire career discussing drug talk and various drug exchanges. Then there should not be a reason why Meg can't use her career to speak on her high sex drive and her daily rotation of disposable men that occupy her lavish lifestyle.

Megan speaks on less than five topics throughout this album. And while that may seem like a bit overkill, she makes it work by adding variation through the use of different flows, great pacing, and the aforementioned countless amount of features. Megan is to sex talk, as Mick Jenkins is to water talk.

The album itself is no slouch, as it's filled to the brim with radio ready club bangers and Instagram-caption-quotable lines. Meg makes every song memorable through the use of these slick one-liners and infectious beats. This formula is very much the bulk of the album as Megan remains consistent with her boasting, rarely changing gears, but remaining innovative in her approach to sexual topics throughout the album’s entirety.

However, the album does have two musical outliers that oppose the classic twerk heavy sound we have come to expect from Megan. As she opens the album with a diss track directed towards rapper Tory Lanes, titled “Shots Fired.” This song acts in response to Lanes shooting Megan earlier this year. This song is one of the album's few variations of sound. Alongside the diss track, Megan adds another wrinkle of melodic variation with her song, "Don't Rock Me To Sleep" A fun song that has Meg showing her softer side to a synth-heavy beat. This song offers quite the juxtaposition to the rest of the album's thematic sound.

Production-wise, this album is just what you’d expect from an artist of Megan’s caliber, as no track half-steps or misses a step in the production department. With super producers such as Cool & Dre, Tay Keith, and Helluva, each making their presence felt throughout this project, they each contribute to providing Meg with her trademark style and flawless delivery.

What concludes is a very good album that should dominate the radio scene for the foreseeable future. With high profile guest such as Big Sean and Lil Durk, and a team of super producers occupying the album’s production team. This album provides a great outing for Megan’s debut project.
