Single Review - “Guilty” by Madison McFerrin

That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty, That motherfucker’s guilty,

There’s something truly satisfying about reading that statement 34 times, and perhaps a better feeling to sing it out loud. Thankfully, Madison McFerrin has captured the essence of this blissful experience in audio format with the release of her new song “Guilty,” an R&B/House mix of her viral video where the singer captures herself creating the infectious tune.

The nucleus of a great house track are the drums, and McFerrin defines the spirit of house music with this single, as the thudding instrumentation laced over her angelic vocals feels as satisfying as watching a racist, homophobic, sexist, misogynist, corrupt, evil,  vile, piece of shit, get hit with 34 guilty verdicts.
