Breez's newest project "The Journeyman" does not tell the typical story of rags-to-riches, nor does it rely on tired rap troupes. Instead, Breez finds the happy medium while examining his truth.

During this seven song album, Breez expresses the realization of remaining one of hip-hop's few journeyman and serves up his shortcomings as motivation, putting forth a formidable body of work.

Thematically, the journeyman is worthy of the classification as anything but a replica of previous hip-hop formulaic efforts. Choosing to avoid the often braggadocio bravado that typically accompanies hip-hop acts, Breez instead opts for stories of realism. Breez makes light work of sensationalizing ideas of commonality while speaking in such a way where the listener has no choice but to connect with the emcee at an interpersonal level.

The beauty of Journeyman is not within the lyrics, but within the cadence Breez delivers in every line with a conviction just short of religious. Simple lines such as "I do my shopping online" are spoken with such arrogance that it naturally forces the listener to appreciate and resonate with the convenience of such mundane tasks.

It’s clear that this Is “The Breez show”. The beauty in "The Journeyman” showcases the rare ability to connect with the listener while still speaking his dreams, similar to if you were having a conversation with the rapper himself. Breez’s connection to the audience is not limited to his cadence; his rhymes paint a picture of foregone brilliance. Rhymes that would often be treated as nonsensical filler barbs are instead highlighted through a verse chalked with quotable phrases.

While the production of the album features quality content, it neither outshines Breez nor stands idle within the background. Providing a great accompany towards Breez's testimonial dreams.

Overall, Breez swaggers his way through seven songs which at times fly by before you'll realize the album is finished. Listening to this project will beg the listeners to question if they're listening to a “journeyman” or the team captain.
